DETAILS OF
COUTURE EMBROIDERY

Utilzing over 7 different embroidery techniques, Mihca Cho created a jeweled design that was simultaneously substantial and yet rippling with texture.

While most embroideries are limited to a flat surface, Mihca purposefully designed an elevated 3Dimensional technique that gave the emroidery a greater sense of movement and depth.

TECHNIQUE OF
HANDCRAFTED BEADING

Hundreds of beads were hand sewn on to bias cut organza petals and mixed with individually shaped petals cut from metallic jacquard sourced from Barcelona.

These petals were then sewn in an alternating pattern as seen in the feathers of an owl's chest, emphasizing the sense of soft glittering plumage in the shadowy canopy of the forest.

CREATING THE
THE JEWERLY

Ten small pieces of Swarovski crystal were woven together on one strand of gold wire utilizing a specialized winding technique to create an individual jeweled firefly.

Should the golden wire be cut at any point, the firefly would come apart reflecting the fragility of the forest's little dwellers.

A CLOSER LOOK AT
FRINGE WEAVING

Thousands of individual strands of navy fringe tassels were pulled in and out of a fine golden lace from renowned tulle and lace house Sophie Hallette.

Like a waterfall, the fringe cascades down the lace as if down a cliff made of gold; each strand secured individually into the underlayer by hand.

DARYNA VAKULENKO
THE MUSE

Daryna stood out immediately at casting. She exuded an obvious confidence and strength as she struck powerful poses.

Yet, despite a fierce outward “sporty” appearance it was clear that there was more to her than just “strength".

She connected with the white gown inspired by the mythos of Callisto and Artemis and how fitting it was.
In a revealing interview, Daryna spoke of how she values faith in relationships, believes in the beauty of all individuals, and worries most about the wellness of others rather than of herself.

Daryna embodied the values that inspired this collection; a truly beautiful soul that, like a sanctuary, welcomes peace, honesty, trust, and love.
